- Now at its best: Rosehip
Refreshing iced tea with dried hibiscus flowers and rosehip. Deep ruby red in color, tart and caffeine-free.
In Egypt they call it karkade, in Mexico agua de jamaica, and everywhere hibiscus grows it has a name. Those flowers color the water ruby red within seconds — so intense your first reaction is to think something was added. But that's pure hibiscus. It tastes tart and fresh, a bit like cranberry, a bit like pomegranate. The rosehip adds a gentle fruitiness that rounds out the whole thing. Ice-cold on a warm afternoon, with some fresh mint in it — you won't need soda anymore. And the best part: this can just sit in the fridge all afternoon without getting worse.

Nutritional Synergies
This recipe combines ingredients that enhance each other:
Complementary vascular support via ACE modulation and antioxidants
Hibiscus anthocyanins reduce systolic blood pressure by 7.5mmHg (PMID: 34927694)
Technical: Anthocyanins from hibiscus modulate the ACE enzyme, supporting blood pressure. Rose hip contains 426mg vitamin C per 100g plus flavonoids that support collagen and provide vascular polyphenols. Together they offer complementary vascular support.
What does this mean for you? Hibiscus-rose hip tea is a fresh, tart tea full of antioxidants. The two ingredients support your blood vessels via two independent pathways.
HeartAnti-inflammatory
Hydration + vitamin C and citrate support
Technical: Water is the transport medium for all nutrients and essential for enzymatic reactions. Lemon adds vitamin C (antioxidant), citrate (alkalizing effect on urine) and D-limonene (supports biotransformation). Mint contains menthol that promotes gastric motility and supports digestion. Together, lemon-mint water is ideal hydration.
What does this mean for you? Lemon-mint water is the smartest way to drink more. The lemon adds flavor and vitamin C, the mint promotes digestion — and you naturally drink more.
